MacZOT™ et al.

Hello again!

It’s always nice to have an  excuse to write something, and this time, it’s because our good friends at MacZOT are featuring Linkinus tomorrow (8/10/2007) at the amazing price of $12.99/license! These are full, 1.x licenses, as well, so for those of you who have 1.1.x licenses (the free ones,) this is a great opportunity to buy into the pure IRC ecstasy* that is Linkinus. Remember, though, that the sale will only last 24 hours, so be quick about it!

In other news, a user asked me today if localized versions of Linkinus were on their way. The answer is yes! Starting with 1.1.1, Linkinus is fully localizable. At this moment in time, we have English and French localizations, with the possibility of Italian, German, Arabic, and Swedish coming in the next release. If you’d like to localize Linkinus into your language, please, feel free to email us at support@linkinus.com with the language you’d like to translate Linkinus into!

Anyway, be sure take advantage of the MacZOT sale to save yourself some $$$!

The March to 1.1.1

Hey People!

I thought I’d drop by with an update on what’s been going down in the Linkinus Camp.

Work on 1.1.1 continues, and it’s shaping up to be a great release! In addition to fixing some serious bugs, it adds some nice new features that people have been asking for. For instance, nick coloring has been implemented, allowing Linkinus to assign a different color to each name in the chat window, to help you better follow the conversation. There’s much more planned, and you can view the progress of 1.1.1 at http://dev.linkinus.com.

Macheist is over, and it was an unqualified success! We gained over seven thousand (!!) new licensees, and gave out an additional six thousand free licenses!! That’s potentially over thirteen thousand new users! As I’m sure you can tell, we’re ecstatic. If you’re one of our new users, please, feel free to drop by our IRC channel and say Hello!

Ciao!
